Start360 has been awarded a new contract in Hydebank College, which will enable our continued approach of bringing the community to those in custody.
The Mentoring, Advocacy and Support services have been delivered by Start360 in Hydebank Wood since 1999, and the organisation is delighted to be able to continue providing this service following a successful bid through the tender process.
The intervention encourages motivation to participate in constructive activity while in custody, promoting rehabilitation and increasing the chance of sustainable positive change happening in the community on release.
Speaking on behalf of Start360, Services Manager Ronan McGinley said,
'We are delighted to have been awarded this contract. We have been working with those in custody of Hydebank College for a long time, and have worked in partnership with our clients to bring about real, positive change. Promotion and encouragement of programmes and intervention will ultimately mean fewer crimes, and fewer victims. We are all about challenging people in a supportive way to become positive citizens - we believe everyone can become stronger with the appropriate support, and play a positive part in our communities'.
The Mentoring, Advocacy and Support services provides a multi-component approach delivered by professionally qualified staff. Start360 CEO, Anne-Marie McClure, said,
'Our staff are excellent at what they do. They have a great relationship with clients and provide cutting edge interventions and supports which make every person stronger. We will continue to provide innovative practice which will help make our communities safer and more enjoyable to live in. Change Starts Here!'
