Prescription drugs in the news
Posted on 23 August, 2017 News
A number of deaths have recently been linked to the use of drugs, most notably prescription drugs. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who have passed away.
Start360 spoke to UTV news regarding specific concerns that had been raised about the use of prescription drugs and our advice is very clear.
You should never take a prescription drug that has not been prescribed to you by a medical professional. Just because an item has been prescribed to someone else, that does not make it safe for you to take.
You should never mix one drug with another, whether that be another prescription drug, an illegal drug or alcohol, which is in itself a dangerous drug.
If you're out socialising with friends and you choose to use drugs of any kind, make sure you know how to keep yourself safe - don't leave your friends and don't let anyone go off alone - make sure you all get home safely.
